Excellent. We could not be happier. Advanced Solar took the time to explain the system, the process and the rebates / credits. They were also very responsive to all my inquiries via email and phone. Once hooked up to CPS the system, even on a cloudy day produces more energy than we consume (during daylight hours of course). Advanced Solar kept us apprised as we worked through the process, inspection and waiting for CPS. They kept us informed every step of the way about what was going to happen, and when it was going to happen, and if there were delays, they called us and made sure we understood why there were delays. My brother-in-law and I had them install at the same time, so that required coordination. They were up and down the same day and that was very nice. They had all their stuff that they required and it didn't require any delays, and we were up and running straight away. The city required an approval, and they were able to get us in the front of the queue so that we got approved quickly as the city was behind 30 days. We were up and running, and then we got approved after that.

We wanted solar panels on the house to reduce our electric bill. Advanced Solar was able to put 25 panels on the house which has reduced our cost dramatically. Our bill has been cut in half if not more. We have been very happy with this decision. Working with Advanced Solar was a great experience. They handled everything, and I do mean everything. We had lots of problems with our HOA and they handled it so well, our HOA finally realized that they could not fight us and the panels went up. They also completely handled our CPS rebate and all the dealings with CPS. The process did take a while, but each step has to be approved and handled by so many people that it had nothing to do with the operations of Advanced Solar. We got to know each person we worked with well and they all were very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a green alternative to their homes energy consumption. I have two friends who have used them as well and had the same positive experience.

Wes, our salesperson was very professional and knowledgeable about his product. I had already done a fair amount of technical research on different PV systems, and Wes only provided accurate, non-inflated information about the system he was selling. He was honest about the tax credit. Do your own research so you won't have any surprises about this issue. They handled all the paper work, and took care of all the required permits, and even handled the process with our home owners association. BTW, don't let your HOA tell you they won't let you put panels on your roof. A recently enacted TX law prohibits HOAs from disallowing roof mounted PV systems. They weren't the absolute cheapest, but the panels they sell (ET Solar) are some of the most efficient available with a great warranty. The inverter (Power-One) is also a very reliable inverter with a 10 year warranty (the good inverters have a warranty of this length. Two other things were the reason I chose them. 1) Their production guarantee is linear, instead of stepped, so the power level guaranteed doesn't drop steeply at a given point in time, but instead gradually decreases with time. 2) They also offer a reduced labor charge for removing your panels if you ever have to replace your roof after PV installation. They were quite backed up with the rush to grab the last of the CPS rebates for this year, but once we were next in the queue, the work went very quickly. The panel installation took about 3 days total, and electrical was done in one.

Advanced Solar installed 16 solar panels, and related equipment, at our home, in January, 2013. They helped with the HOA approval process, the GVEC rebate process, and they allowed us to finance the anticipated $5000 federal rebate at 0% until our tax refund arrived. We had to pay only $1869, plus a couple of $141 monthly payments on the financed amount, to received a $17,000 solar panel system. When we did receive our federal refund, we opted to pay off the financed amount in total. Everything went well from beginning to end. This company is extremely professional and customer-service oriented. The panels were installed in one day, and after the system was activated, we were educated about how to read the meters to see how much energy our system was sending back to the grid. When I called several months later with questions about the whole process, Andrew spent significant time on the phone with me making sure that all of my questions were answered. We are very happy with our solar panel system, as are many of our neighbors.

They did a great job. I wanted to get it done very quickly because I needed to get it under the date for the rebate that the city was offering. He came out the same day and gave me a quote which was reasonable and a contract that day and the next day I was able to get the rebate before they lowered it. So from that perspective and they seem to know exactly the process down and I think they are one of the bigger solar providers in Saint Antonio because they have their schedules out. They call and tell you they are going to come out and bring the panels. They brought fifty two solar panels and I thought it would take them two or three days, I had them up in a day. And then a week or two after that they had the electricians come out and look it up and that took another day and then a couple of weeks after that they had an energy company come out and do the inspection and turn it on so it was all work, work, work pretty much.

Everyone I dealt with at Advance Solar were very professional. I did not feel like I was dealing with a salesman when Mr. Dickey was talking with me about the solar panels. He explained what would work best on my house and why. He was not pushing me to buy the biggest and best system with all the bells and whistles like some of the other contractors. I have recommended Advance Solar to other people who felt the same way I did and got their systems from them. Having a solar panel system installed can take some time. The work was done on time a promised. What took time was having the inspection scheduled and having to wait for that and then having CPS coming out to turn the system on. I was kept informed at all times about what was happening. It was well worth the wait. My CPS bill has dropped drastically.

We received a proposal from Mr. Dickey, detailing how much the system would cost as well as how much energy the system would produce with what he called a "power generation guarentee", this was the only company that offered us this. Mr. Dickey took the time to explain how the entire process works and answered all of our questions in detail until we were comfortable moving forward. Once we chose to move forward Advanced Solar worked with the Utility Company, HOA, and the City to obtain all needed approvals before beginning the installation. The hardest part for us was waiting for our HOA to give approval on the project. When we got all our approvals in, we were contacted to schedule our installation. We were very excited when it was turned on and glad to hear that the utlity company employees (who see these projects everyday) were happy with Advanced Solar's work. Once the project was completed and operational Mr. Dickey delivered a packet with all of our paperwork and explained again how the system worked and what to expect from then forward. We are very pleased with our system and Advanced Solar. Given the opportunity we will choose them again and we HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who asks about our system.

They provided a sheet that told me exactly how much a system would cost and that I would get a return on my investment in under 5 years! Site Plan - They took an aerial image of my house and superimposed the solar panels so I could see exactly what the house would look like with the modules. Rebate Application - Advanced Solar applied to CPS Energy for me to get the 50% rebate. City Permit - Within a few days of receiving approval from my HOA, they had already pulled a permit with the city to begin work on my system. HOA Submittal - All I had to do was sign my name on the HOA ACC request. They took care of filling out all of the paperwork and submitting the appropriate documents. From start to finish Advanced Solar took care of every step of the process. They kept me updated through each step. I could not have asked for a better or easier overall experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone that is thinking about going solar.

Installed 16 solar panels with black frames for a 4.8 kw display. Installed data collection and relay equipment (inverter) on side of the house. We paid $2000 down and then financed $6913 at zero percent over three years ($192.03 monthly payment). CPS rebated $8319 and the federal government rebated $4900 via tax credit, for a total cost to us out of pocket of $ 4013. Although I really haven't carefully calculated our savings on the electric bill for the first year of use, I know it is more than $50/month which means a payoff of less than seven years. The PV system feeds both the house and the grid. CPS reduces our bill by compensating us for what we contribute to the grid (i.e. back to CPS) and, of course, the amount of electricity fed directly to the house never shows up on the bill, so we save in two ways. The system is warranted as follows: 5 years on installation, 10 years on the inverter, 25 years on the panels. I wanted black frames because I felt the panels would blend in better than silver would on the roof. I was right. I wanted the panels installed in two neat rows toward the rear of the roof so as to be less obvious from the street. They installed everything according to my wishes. It looks great and in a less obvious manner! The inverter installation and monitoring devices are cutting edge. We have been exceptionally satisfied with Advanced Solar from start to finish. Their engineer has been out to check the system to make sure it has been functioning well. The CEO, Don Dickey, came to our house to explain everything and answer questions and he has been most responsive when I have called him on his cell with further inquiries.
